    The Lebanese government presented, today, Saturday, an apology to the Iraqi government after insulting Iraqi students in Beirut.



    The media office of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News that the latter "received a call from Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati," noting that "Mikati expressed his regret over the mistreatment of a number of Iraqi students studying in Lebanon."






    Mikati affirmed, "His government's apology and its endeavor to overcome obstacles in front of them and facilitate their transactions and requirements."

    In turn, Al-Sudanti affirmed, "His confidence in the Lebanese government's endeavor to take care of the needs of our Iraqi students in Lebanon, and thanked Mikati for the interest and vigorous follow-up shown by the Lebanese authorities."
