Today, Saturday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani affirmed his confidence in the Lebanese government's efforts to sponsor Iraqi students.

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani received a call from Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati."

During the call, Mikati expressed his regret for "the mistreatment of a number of Iraqi students studying in Lebanon," offering "his government's apology and its endeavor to overcome obstacles in front of them and facilitate their transactions and requirements."

In turn, the Prime Minister affirmed his "confidence in the Lebanese government's endeavor to take care of the needs of our Iraqi students in Lebanon," expressing his thanks to Miqati "for the interest and vigorous follow-up shown by the Lebanese authorities."
