Finland once again topped the World Happiness Report, which allegedly measures social support, income, health, freedom and absence of corruption, to determine national happiness in 137 countries around the world.

Finland tops the list, for the sixth year in a row, according to the report released on Monday, followed by Denmark, Iceland and Israel, which jumped from ninth to fourth, followed by the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]in 98th place.

The World Happiness Report was produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, a global non-profit initiative launched by the United Nations in 2012, to advance the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the national and international levels.

Ireland ranks 14th, behind Austria, Australia and Canada, but just ahead of the United States, Germany and Belgium.

Lithuania is the only new country in the top 20, but war-torn Afghanistan and Lebanon remain the two most unhappy countries in the report.

The United Arab Emirates was the first Arab country to top the index, but it ranked 26th, immediately after Singapore, Romania and Costa Rica, ahead of Saudi Arabia, which ranked 30th. Bahrain ranked 42nd after Latvia and Nicaragua, and Algeria ranked 81st, right after Tajikistan and Armenia
