A recent study conducted by the Ulster Institute in the United Kingdom showed that Iraq ranks 46th globally and first in the Arab world in terms of average IQ, with an average score of 89.3.
This result comes after analyzing data from intelligence tests conducted on more than 2.5 million people from 133 countries around the world.
Asian countries topped the list, with Japan ranked first with an average score of 106.48, followed by Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
In the Middle East region, Iraq ranked first, then the United Arab Emirates came in second place with an average score of 82.05, followed by Iran (80.01) and Pakistan (80).
Commenting on these results, Dr. Richard Lin, one of the researchers who conducted the study, said, “Iraq performed well in intelligence tests, especially considering the challenges the country has faced in recent decades.”
Lin added: "This result shows that Iraq has great potential, and that more investment in education and human development is needed to achieve further progress."
