[rtl]Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi discussed today, Thursday, with the heads of the Electoral Commission, the Electoral Administration, the electoral law, and the High Commission's preparations for the provincial elections.
Al-Halbousi's office stated, in a statement, that the latter "received the head of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Jalil Adnan, and the head of the electoral administration, Abbas Farhan al-Fatlawi."
During the meeting, they discussed "the electoral law, the preparations of the High Commission for the provincial elections, which are scheduled to take place at the end of this year, and the most important requirements that must be met to support the Commission in its electoral tasks."
Al-Halbousi confirmed that "the House of Representatives provides full support to the Independent High Electoral Commission to accomplish its tasks and complete the constitutional and legal requirements for holding elections."[/rtl]
