{Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced that its Iraqi Housing Fund is working to raise lending ceilings according to its law.
A statement by the ministry stated that “the Board of Trustees of the Housing Fund, in its first session for the year 2023, had previously requested, among its recommendations submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, to obtain the approval of the Council of Ministers, to increase the lending ceilings according to the Fund’s law to be (60) million dinars, for the centers of the governorates, districts and districts of Including Baghdad Governorate.
The Council requested, according to the statement, "that the loan be repaid in monthly installments over a period of (15) years, with the deduction of the transaction fees and examination fees amounting to (02) percent for one time, in order to relieve the citizens' burden and in line with the current economic conditions and contribute to solving the housing crisis."
The statement indicated that "the ministry also approached the State Council to inquire about accepting the (exclusively employee) guarantee for himself in the lending transaction by guaranteeing his salary, in another step aimed at facilitating lending procedures for the largest possible segment of citizens."
