A member of the Parliamentary Strategic Planning Committee, Souad Al-Maliki, said that there will be amendments to the budget, including deletion and addition, to "create a balance" in the distribution of allocations between ministries.
And she explained, "The financial and strategic planning committees worked on discussing the chapters of the budget accurately in order to set the dues for the ministries, noting that the financial allocations for some ministries need to be modified, just like the rest of the ministries that receive their dues in full."
She added, "There are many amendments to the budget chapters, especially since there are segments that we did not find legitimate rights in, including graduates of previous years, health professions, holders of a doctorate this year, and retirees. Therefore, the chapters of the budget must be amended to guarantee the rights of these segments."
Al-Maliki pointed out that "parliamentary committees have the right to add paragraphs in the budget that have a financial side, and they also have the right to delete items after consultation, to preserve the right of all segments."
