On Sunday, Labor Minister Ahmed Al-Asadi called on parliament to increase the ministry's allocations in the 2023 budget.
Al-Asadi said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma: "We call on the House of Representatives in general and the Parliamentary Finance Committee in particular to take its active role to stand by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs by adhering to the government program, which clearly and directly referred to the expansion of coverage with social assistance."
And he called for "increasing the ministry's allocations for the nature of its work and its tasks in dealing with the vulnerable classes, especially assistance in all efforts that serve the ministry and enable it to provide the best services." Ended/25 h
