    Information/Baghdad...
The Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Benkin Rikani, renewed, on Tuesday, the accusation of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi of lying to citizens during his launch of the Dari initiative, indicating that the housing crisis in Iraq led to the population explosion after 2003.

Rikani said in an interview followed by Al-Maalouma, that "there is a population explosion that occurred after 2003, when the number of citizens increased by 100%, and then, with it, the percentage of the need for housing increased, in addition to other problems facing the Ministry, most prominent of which is the need to establish roads and transportation." To relieve traffic jams, especially in the capital, Baghdad.
He added, "The population increase, which exceeded 100% after 2003, in addition to the number of cars that exceeded 700%, prompted us to address the project to remove traffic jams in Baghdad, although the project falls within the powers of the Baghdad Municipality."
He pointed out that "the current government has taken a bold decision regarding granting lands to investors in return for a participatory fee, according to the completion rates, instead of giving them free of charge, which will contribute to increasing services that will reflect positively on citizens in the distant future."
Rikani strongly criticized the "Dari" initiative launched by the former federal government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
