    Baghdad - conscious
Today, Tuesday, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced that Iraq supports initiatives to end the dangerous crisis in Sudan, while indicating that work is continuing to evacuate Iraqis from the fire of fighting.
The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Within the scope of joint work and coordination with brotherly countries, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein made a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, And the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed, separately," noting that "the call dealt with discussing the situation in Sudan and the fighting between the two parties to the conflict, and its impact on the Sudanese internal situation, especially in Khartoum."
Hussein praised, according to the statement, "the role played by the two brotherly countries with other countries in trying to push the parties to the conflict to a cease-fire and start dialogue," stressing that "the continuation of the fighting in some areas in Sudan may lead to the expansion of the conflict area to the entire Sudanese interior, and from We must work to stop this bloody conflict.”
He expressed "Iraq's support for the initiatives undertaken by the two governments to find ways to end this serious security and military crisis," noting that "work is continuing to evacuate Iraqis from the fire of fighting."
Hussein thanked the two ministers for "the assistance provided by their governments to a group of Iraqi citizens in Sudan and their evacuation from it."
