An informed source confirmed, on Sunday, that 9 political forces have ruled out any attempts to ally with the Sovereignty to run in the provincial council elections in Diyala.

In an interview with Al-Maalouma, the source said, "An extensive meeting was held late yesterday evening for representatives of 9 political forces in Baquba, which dealt with several files, most notably the possibility of an alliance with other forces away from the sovereignty alliance led by Muhammad al-Halbousi and Khamis al-Khanjar.”
He pointed out that "the forces have ruled out any attempts to ally with the sovereign to run in the provincial elections, given that they are ahead of elections that will be very different, which is important changes that will take place in the arena within the borders of Diyala."
He added, "An official statement will be issued in the coming days confirming that the political forces are continuing with their project, which embodies the identity of Diyala, away from any blocs that exert pressure to confiscate the rights of the rest of the forces. "
It is noteworthy that Diyala's sovereignty is facing a suffocating crisis after the decline in its popularity in the past months and the growing differences between its leaders.
