Member of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, revealed the amount of wasted money that was spent on fake and lagging projects in the western governorates, while confirming that it is estimated at 200 billion dinars.
Al-Baldawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, "The government has clear seriousness in recovering money from people who were involved in large corruption deals within these projects," pointing out that "recovering these funds will exceed oil revenues in the general budget for a full year.”
He continued, "The money that has been spent on fake or reluctant projects that have not yet been completed is estimated at 200 billion dinars," noting that "there are many corruption files that passed in Anbar Governorate that have not been opened yet."
Al-Baldawi concluded his speech: "One of the huge files of corruption in Anbar province is the file of those with special grades from the Awakening Councils, support councils, or local councils."
And the leader of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Muhammad Al-Fahdawi, had revealed, in an interview with Al-Maalouma Agency, “details of manipulation and forgery in residential plots of land in Anbar Governorate, while he confirmed that the number of lands that were manipulated and forged reached more than 100,000 residential plots so far.” Ended 25/J
