He added, "Among those sites are 4 patches or sites that were not resolved in the last round in 2018, in addition to 10 new fields and sites that were added to the appendix of this round, distributed between the central and southern governorates," noting that "the fields are: the Faw patches, Jabal Sanam, and the Kafriya field." He added, "Iraq is in dire need to develop gas fields, as it imports gas at a value ranging between 3.5 to 4 billion dollars annually to operate power stations, and therefore it is supposed to develop the production of its oil derivatives with new refinery projects, from which it imports annually at a value ranging from 3 billion dollars."
He explained, "Today we are on the verge of opening two plants to purify the gas associated with oil in Basra, which will produce 300 to 400 million cubic feet per day," noting that "Iraq is in a state of confusion and lack of clarity on how to develop the oil industry in a manner commensurate with its needs, and the world that is moving towards clean energy such as gas and energy." solar, wind, etc.
He continued: "There is a tendency to produce 6 million barrels of oil per day by the year 2027, and yet Iraq does not have new export outlets," wondering: "Will this tour guarantee Iraq a real advancement so that this will be reflected in the reality of the infrastructure that suffers from weak and poor services?" And an increase in revenues and a significant weakness in services.
