Mubasher: The Iraqi Al-Waqae’ newspaper affiliated with the Ministry of Justice published today, Monday, Law No. (13) for the year 2023 “The Federal General Budget of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal years (2023-2024-2025 ).”
According to the budget, revenues in the general budget for the year 2023 are estimated at 134.55 trillion dinars, as revenues from exporting crude oil were calculated on the basis of an average price of $70 per barrel, and an export rate of 3.500 million barrels per day, including 400 thousand barrels per day for the amount of crude oil. The product is produced in the Kurdistan region on the basis of an exchange rate of 1,300 dinars per dollar, and all revenues actually generated are recorded as final revenue for the account of the state’s public treasury .
The newspaper also announced the allocation of 198.910 trillion dinars for the fiscal year 2023 for expenditures, of which 133.22 trillion dinars were operating expenses, while 12.75 trillion dinars were allocated within the indebtedness represented by the installments of internal and external debt .
According to the budget, 400 billion dinars were allocated for the payment of the dues of the Trade Bank of Iraq to the region, and 3.58 trillion dinars were allocated for special programs, of which 1.46 trillion dinars for the government program, and according to the budget, capital expenditures amounted to 49.35 trillion dinars, while fixed assets amounted to 1.15 trillion riyals .

About 38.22 trillion dinars have been allocated for local investment projects, of which 3.67 trillion dinars are for government program projects .
According to the budget, 9.94 trillion dinars have been allocated for investment projects funded by foreign loans, and 18.20 trillion dinars for investment projects funded by the Iraqi Trade Bank .
On Wednesday, June 21, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid ratified the federal public budget law .
President Rashid said - in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that approving and approving the budget is a turning point for the government to implement its program, which includes securing the necessary needs of citizens, providing basic services such as health and education, rehabilitating the infrastructure and initiating vital and strategic projects that will be positively reflected. on the reality of the daily lives of citizens .
