    Today, Tuesday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, affirmed that the electricity sector is a priority for the government, while the (GE) police indicated its commitment to electricity maintenance contracts in Iraq.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this morning, the CEO of (GE) Energy Company Eric Gray and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Minister of Electricity and a number of advisors," noting that "the delegation of (GE) company included the financial director of the company Yoshito Murakami, and the CEO of the company's branch in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Joe Anis, and the chief financial director of the company, Charles Masurel, and the head of the company's branch in Iraq."
    The Prime Minister affirmed that “the electricity sector is a priority for the government, in all sectors of energy transmission and distribution, in addition to production,” calling on the company to “cooperate with the Ministry of Electricity in meeting the needs of the aforementioned sectors.”
    And he directed “to work to expedite the completion of the company’s work for the combined cycles; In order to increase energy production without the need for more fuel.
    During the meeting, they also discussed the gas investment sector, where the Prime Minister affirmed “the government’s determination to zero the flaring of associated gas, and to benefit from it in energy production projects and other transformational industries.”
    For his part, the company's delegation presented the projects it is implementing in Iraq, especially in the field of energy production, and the company's president affirmed "commitment to implement maintenance contracts signed with the Ministry of Electricity, to improve the electrical system and develop its work."
