    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:

Legal expert Habib Abd commented on Iraq's agreement to demarcate the international border with Kuwait.

Abdul said, in a clarification, that "Iraq agreed to demarcate the international borders between it and Kuwait by Resolution 833 of 1993, which ratified the minutes of the International Committee for the Fixation of Borders based on previous decisions following the occupation of Kuwait, starting with Resolution 660 on August 2, 1990 and what followed. Copies of the records were kept with the Security Council." The General Secretariat of the United Nations and the relevant countries, including the land and sea borders, and Umm Qasr were among them with regard to the military base in the city.

He added, "Kuwait exerted tremendous pressure on Iraq in this matter, because Iraq was without an ally or a friend. All the resolutions issued by the Security Council were unanimous, except for the objection of (Yemen and Cuba) and the abstention of a few countries such as China. After 2003, the pillars were removed when the US forces entered Iraq. It did not return to its previous place and entered Kuwait in the Iraqi depth.

He continued, "With regard to Khor Abdullah, the agreement was on equity, and it was supposed to be on the Taluk line, which is the deepest point."

He pointed out that “Iraqi arrogance and stupidity, since King Ghazi and Abdul Karim and the end of Saddam, made a country like Kuwait transcend Iraq with the protection of Britain and America. With its independence.”

And he indicated, "Kuwait took its rights by the force of international law, the strength of its allies (Britain and America), and the stupidity and arrogance of Iraq..These issues must be avoided from auctions, elections, rumors, and partisan rivalries.”

He pointed out that "in general, border and demarcation issues in which Security Council resolutions require patience, evasion, and the application of Kissinger's theory, whose content is (a negotiator should not obtain from a skilled politician or diplomat other than promises of consultation and study)."
