Shafaq News/ Sales of the Central Bank of Iraq stabilized, at about 200 million dollars, in an auction today, Wednesday.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar, 197 million and 404 thousand and one dollar, which is almost the same as yesterday's sales, amounting to 196 million, 599 thousand and 621 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1305 dinars, per Dollars for documentary credits and international settlements of electronic cards, at a price of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a price of 1310 dinars per dollar in cash.
Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went to boost balances abroad in the form of (remittances, credits), amounting to 166,784,000 and one dollar, while cash sales amounted to 30,620,000 dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that bought cash dollars amounted to 8 banks, while the number of banks that responded to requests for strengthening balances abroad reached 18 banks, while the total number of exchange and mediation companies participating in the auction was 91 companies.
