    Economy News - Baghdad
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced on Sunday that the government he heads intends to issue interest-free loans to Iraqi publishing houses in support of the cultural community.
Al-Sudani said in a speech he delivered during the celebration of the launch of the 24th Baghdad International Book Fair, addressing the Iraqis, “We announce that your government will remain supportive of cultural affairs out of the belief that culture is greater than crises,” adding that “supporting culture is part of the government program.”
He added that the government will take measures to facilitate the work of publishing houses, and we will issue interest-free loans to them, just as we support the establishment of book fairs in the country.
