    {Politics: Al-Furat News} The Minister of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Awat Sheikh Janab, confirmed today, Wednesday, the existence of a joint understanding with Baghdad to address the issue of salaries of the region’s employees, and keep it away from political differences.
    Awat Sheikh Janab said in a press conference, in Baghdad today, "We met today with the Federal Minister of Finance and the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, and we provided them with all the information and data available to us." 
    Sheikh Janab confirmed, "There is a common understanding with the federal side on how to address the issue of salaries of Kurdistan region employees, separating it from actual expenses, and keeping it away from political differences."
    He pointed out that "the information and data that we provided about Kurdistan Region employees and their salaries to the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament and the Iraqi Minister of Finance were accurate and reliable."
    He added: "During our meeting with them, we discussed the causes of the problem of salaries of Kurdistan Region employees with all honesty and transparency," stressing that "the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives and the Federal Minister of Finance expressed a sincere intention to address the outstanding problems."
    He stressed, "We agreed to find radical solutions to the problems of Kurdistan Region employees' salaries."
    At the invitation of the Finance Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, yesterday, Tuesday, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government went to the capital, Baghdad, to discuss several common files between Erbil and Baghdad.
    The Kurdistan delegation includes: Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Janab Nouri, Chairman of the Bureau of the Region’s Council of Ministers Omid Sabah, Secretary of the Council of Ministers Amanj Rahim, and Head of the Coordination and Monitoring Office Abdul Hakim Khosrow, in addition to a number of advisors and general directors in the Ministries of Finance and Natural Resources.
    The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, confirmed during her hosting of the meeting that “the Ministry works in accordance with the Financial Management Law and the Federal Budget in financing and implementing projects, indicating the opening of an account on the basis of which the region is obligated to deposit revenues as it represents the region’s treasury, but no sums of money have been deposited in it.” ", reviewing the Ministry of Finance's procedures regarding the details related to the region's articles within the Federal Budget Law." 
    During the meeting, the Finance Committee also listened to a review by the Chairman of the Financial Supervision Bureau, Ammar Al-Mashhadani, regarding the Bureau’s procedures for following up on the implementation of budget items, preparing a detailed report, and issuing special recommendations regarding them, as well as presenting observations regarding auditing the incoming data, revealing that the final report on auditing the entire database will be submitted on Sunday. Tomorrow is Thursday.
