    Despite the leakage of information about US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s visit to Baghdad, which is supposed to take place today, Sunday (November 5, 2023), there are no indications or information yet about Blinken’s arrival in Baghdad or not, amid complete secrecy regarding his visit this time and vice versa. From previous times, due to the escalation of "Iraqi resentment" towards the American side.
    An informed source revealed in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “US Secretary of State Blinken’s visit to Baghdad will be accompanied by 3 special preventive measures, given the presence of excessive sensitivity on the American side to the situation in light of the high level of hostility towards Washington in Iraq and the region in general due to its positions on the events in Gaza".
    He added, "Many of the itineraries of his visit will be covered by secrecy in terms of determining the date of the plane's arrival in addition to other security measures," noting that "he will hold 3-4 meetings with government and political leaders, perhaps some of which will not be announced before his departure, meaning that his visit will extend for hours." .
    He pointed out that "unlike previous visits, in which American officials visited according to specific protocols, this matter may be bypassed due to the sensitivity of the situation," pointing out that "securing the visit will fall on the Iraqi side in coordination with the force accompanying Blinken."
    Earlier, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades issued a warning about the upcoming visit by US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
    The security official in the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, known as “Abu Ali Al-Askari,” said in a statement via “Telegram” that “Blinken’s visit is not welcome.”
    He stressed that if Blinken visits, "we will meet this with an unprecedented escalation."
    Al-Askari added in his statement, "Closing the American embassy in Iraq and preventing those with American citizenship from entering Iraq. We will reach it in our own non-peaceful way, because peaceful dealing with killers is cowardice and failure."
