On Thursday, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Alia Nassif, revealed the lifting of restrictions and obstacles regarding the discussion of the Khor Abdullah case and Iraq’s right to restore its rights.

Nassif said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The Khor Abdullah issue faced many obstacles and restrictions internally as a result of external pressures, due to not allowing discussion of the file related to the ownership of Khor Abdullah under Iraqi national sovereignty.”
She added, "All obstacles and restrictions surrounding the Khor Abdullah file have been removed, and the Council of Ministers can discuss them vigorously."
She indicated that she "will call on the Council of Ministers and Representatives to discuss the file again and work to move the lawsuit filed by Iraq against the Khor Abdullah Diyah file, by submitting evidence and official and historical documents."
It is noteworthy that the Parliamentary Integrity Committee confirmed earlier to “Al-Ma’louma” that the government, along with specialized legal experts, prepared memorandums proving Iraq’s rights to Bakhour Abdullah Al-Tamimi and sent them directly to the United Nations representative office in exchange for the Kuwaiti memorandums.
