The Ministry of Planning indicated, today, Tuesday, a clear stability in the process of Iraqi individual consumption of foodstuffs and the amount of spending on them.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, “There are 11 sections representing consumer sectors in all fields, including (food, non-alcoholic beverages, health, education, housing, shoes, clothing, entertainment, restaurants, etc.), pointing out that “These departments provide about 333 goods and services, and they are being monitored.”
Al-Hindawi added, “There is clear stability in the process of consuming food items, as in previous decades the Iraqi individual spent approximately 90% of his income on food items, while the percentage of spending is On the food side, it is currently 30-31%, and this indicates the existence of a state of stability and satisfaction for the individual, as he is now spending on other aspects such as entertainment, health, and education.
