Amending the Industrial Cities Law is on the Parliament’s table

The Parliamentary Economy, Trade and Industry Committee announced the arrival of an amendment to the draft law on industrial cities from the government.
Member of the Investment Committee, Yasser Al-Husseini, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “An official letter from the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated the government’s approval to send a draft of the amendment to Law No. 2 of 2019 and proceed with voting,” adding that “the committee has not yet seen the text.” Amendment to the origin of the law.
Al-Husseini added, "There will be a meeting and session of the Economy, Industry and Trade Committee, and then we will go on to hold workshops dedicated to this matter," indicating that "there is a need to mature the law and find a real vision to benefit from it."
The representative continued, "The committee, in one of its meetings with the Prime Minister, raised the issue of amending the law, which led to the government going to amend it and sending it to Parliament to vote on
it."
