    Today, Monday, the Communications and Media Commission announced the implementation of dozens of projects to reduce the digital gap in 57 remote areas within nine Iraqi governorates.
    The Authority stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “The Chairman of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Moayyed, announced that the Authority will continue to implement a number of projects within the framework of comprehensive service in remote areas to reduce the digital gap and spread communications and information technology, which will benefit more than 53,000 people.”
    According to the statement, Al-Moayad confirmed that “the projects that come within the annual projects of the comprehensive service department in the authority included delivering mobile phone and Internet company services to remote areas in nine Iraqi governorates with the aim of enhancing economic and social integration in these areas and providing job opportunities.”
    He pointed out that "the projects that were implemented targeted 53,480 thousand people within 57 remote areas in the governorates of Karbala, Dhi Qar, Muthanna, Diyala, Anbar, Diwaniyah, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din and Wasit, provided that digital services include remote areas in the Iraqi governorates." all".
