On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed Iraq’s position calling for stopping the Zionist massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and taking urgent steps to deliver aid.
A statement from the ministry received by the Maalouma Agency said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the call of Security Council Resolution No. 2720 on the international community to take urgent steps to immediately allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in an expanded, safe and unhindered manner, to create the necessary conditions for a ceasefire.”
He added, "Iraq renews its call to the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the crimes of the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian people, end their illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories, and respect the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and establish their independent state with Holy Jerusalem as its capital."
