Today, Tuesday (January 9, 2024), the American Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, congratulated the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi police and army, while expressing her hope that the country will enjoy security and sovereignty.
The ambassador wrote in a tweet on the (X) platform, followed by “Baghdad Today”, that “this week, the Iraqi army and police forces celebrate the anniversary of their founding. Their members serve with courage and distinction, which makes the country a safer place for all Iraqis.”
She added, "We hope that the Iraqi army and police will continue their journey in building a safe, stable, sovereign and prosperous Iraq."
