The Ministry of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government denied, today, Tuesday, the presence of anything “illegal” in the employee lists, usually raising new issues aimed at preventing salaries from reaching those entitled to them in the region.[/size]
[size=45]She said in a statement, “During the last period, the joint team from the Office of Financial Supervision in the federal government and the regional government conducted a month-long audit of the numbers of employees and visited all ministries and institutions on the ground.”[/size]
[size=45]She added, “For us, there is nothing strange or illegal in the list of employees and salary recipients in the region,” usually “raising new topics from time to time as pretexts to obstruct the sending of salaries, which are among the simple rights of citizens.”[/size]
[size=45]She stressed that “everything necessary within the framework of the legal claims of the Federal Ministry of Finance will be responded to in official letters, as we have always done, without leaving notes.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement continued, “With regard to issues related to people’s livelihood, the media should have national and professional coverage and not in other ways or for other purposes.”[/size]
[size=45]Some media outlets reported on the presence of what they described as “aliens” among the lists of names of Kurdistan Region employees.[/size]
