Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Five-Side Committee formed to follow up the demonstrators’ demands canceled the 88th and 76th resolutions that seized the properties and the real estates of the former regime members.
A statement by the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Committee met at Jaafary’s office on last Thursday night,” noting that “The meeting was attended by Salih al-Mutleg, Khalid al-Atiya, Mihsin al-Sadoun, Mohamed al-Hashimi, Haider al-Mulla and Hasan Zedan.”
“The Committee decided to cancel these two resolutions as it finalized the amendments for Justice and Accountability law to be endorsed by the parliament,” the statement added.
“The attendants of the meeting agreed upon the importance of activating the national balance file in the State institutions in addition to emphasizing the importance of keeping on dialogues to reach a compromise over the issues of the Central Criminal Court as well as the General Amnesty Law,” the statement concluded.
