Today, Saturday, the Integrity Commission announced the dismantling of a network for tampering and forgery in the Kadhimiya real estate registration.
The Authority’s Government Media and Communications Office stated in a statement received by Mawazine News that it “was able to dismantle a network that practices manipulation, forgery, and impersonation in the First Kadhimiya Real Estate Registration Directorate, and thwart the process of transferring real estate belonging to heirs in violation of the law.”
He added, "The Baghdad Investigation Directorate formed - as soon as it received information from one of the complainants - a team from its Control and Investigation Department to investigate violations and manipulation in the transaction of opening a property statement for heirs with an area of (1,400) square metres, and selling it for a financial amount of approximately (8,000,000) million US dollars." .., through manipulation and forgery.”
He continued, "The Directorate's team - after obtaining the judicial order - moved to the Real Estate Registration Directorate - First Kadhimiya, and initiated an elaborate ambush for the complainants, where they were caught and (4) of them were caught red-handed," noting that "the pursuer was caught while he was promoting a transaction." The statement for the property was opened, while the lawyer was caught while he was signing the original opening form for the property, impersonating one of the heirs. The team was also able to arrest two employees in the directorate, one of whom supervised the process and took the fingerprints of the seller and buyer without having any authority to do so. The second works as a calculator employee in the directorate.”
The office added, “The operation also resulted in the seizure of the original of the inheritance transfer transaction and the original of the sale transaction for the property signed by the accused who impersonated one of the property’s heirs, in addition to the seizure of the original of the file for the property located in the filing cabinet in the first division, due to the presence of a sign of non-action from the department.” Because of the many attempts to forge it.”
