    Information/Baghdad..
The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, confirmed today, Sunday, that the idea of creating other regions is rejected, while indicating support for the new Anbar Governorate administration in standing against any ideas that threaten the unity and integrity of Iraq’s security.
The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by Al-Maaluma: “The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, received the Governor of Anbar, Muhammad Nouri al-Karbouli, and the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Omar Mishaan Dabbous, and discussed with them future cooperation between the judiciary and the governorate administration to enhance security and societal stability and the necessity of accelerating the completion of procedures.” Investigate and prosecute those who commit crimes of administrative corruption, regardless of their job position.”
The governor and the head of the provincial council expressed, according to the statement, “their readiness to cooperate with the judiciary in all fields,” emphasizing the keenness of the people of the province to preserve the unity of Iraq and rejecting ideas that affect the unity of Iraq, which some promote for purely political ends far from the reality and convictions of the people of the province
. The highest point is that “the geographical and national reality of the Kurdistan Region existed before the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in 2005, specifically in the year 1991, following the invasion of Kuwait and the resulting negative effects due to the failed policies of the previous regime,” pointing out that “the Kurdistan Region has a special status recognized by all the people.” The Iraqi Constitution included provisions for organizing the regions, but the circumstances of drafting the constitution at the time have changed now, and most of those who were convinced of these provisions are now convinced of the necessity of changing them as far as the rest of the provinces are concerned, except for the Kurdistan region, by virtue of its special status.
He stated that “the idea of creating other regions in any An area in Iraq that is rejected because it threatens the unity and security of Iraq,” stressing “the support of the new governorate administration in standing against any ideas that threaten the unity and integrity of Iraq’s security.” End 25
