The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Iraq, Maurizio Cricanti, confirmed the continuation of negotiations with Iraq regarding the withdrawal of international coalition forces.
Krikanti said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “The faction attacks targeted the Iraqi bases that house coalition forces, and they are a real threat. We are working to assess the security situation in Iraq and the extent of the ISIS threat.”
He added, "Armed attacks harm the Iraqi economy and harm the volume of foreign investments."
He pointed out that "the security situation in Iraq is very stable, Baghdad is very wonderful, and I have many restaurants that I visit constantly."
