Deputy Chairman of the Oil and Natural Resources Committee, Adnan Al-Jabri, revealed on Monday that the government has compensated the quantities of oil exported from Erbil through the oil fields in Basra.
Al-Jabri said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, “The federal government has the sole right to export oil through Turkey, and the problems of exporting oil through Turkey are still pending between Baghdad and Erbil.”
He added, "Selling oil individually by the region will put it in a legal maze at a time when Iraq compensated for the region's oil quantities through the south."
He pointed out that "the oil file with the region will not be resolved except by legislating the oil and gas law, and that the oil dispute The region will remain in place until the “Oil and Gas” law is enacted.
