    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

       

    During the period from April 27 to next May 4, Iraq will host the 50th session of the “Arab Labor Conference” to discuss a group of items that touch on issues related to labor markets and workers’ issues in the Arab world.[/rtl]

    [rtl]The Director General of the Organization, Fayez Al-Mutairi, said in a statement, “The work of this session is being held under the auspices of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of members of delegations, representatives of the three production parties in the countries, based on what is stipulated in the Constitution of the Arab Labor Organization.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added, "The session that will be held in Baghdad will discuss a group of important items on our agenda, which touch on vital issues that directly affect labor markets and workers' issues in the Arab world."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, “Among these items, the first item will address the Director-General’s report (the future of human resources in light of the technological revolution) and the challenges and opportunities facing human resources in our Arab countries in light of the rapid technological progress "[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "the report will discuss how to prepare the workforce for the future, with a focus on training and continuing education to enhance the skills necessary to adapt to technological changes. It will also address the balance and integration between technology and the human element, and the impact that technology can have in creating new job opportunities and improving conditions.” the job".[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, "The session will also highlight the organization's efforts to support member states to confront many economic and social challenges, through various implemented activities that take into account geographical distribution and diversity, including training courses, seminars, forums and conferences, in addition to The organization's participation in many Arab activities and conferences."     [rtl]He added, "The second section of the first item will be discussed: (A report on the activities and achievements of the Arab Labor Organization during 2023), along with some appendices related to the statutory and constitutional committees, while the seventh item will be Presented for a second discussion of the normative tool on new patterns of work and amending... Convention No. 9 on vocational guidance and training.[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, “The conference will also discuss in the eighth item the development of policies to enhance productivity and sustainability in Arab labor markets. This includes analyzing the factors that contribute to enhancing the work environment and stimulating economic growth, in addition to considering ways to Improve and develop the policies and roles required of the three production parties and the Labor Organization.” "Arabic".[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Matari concluded his speech: “In addition, the conference will pay special attention to work on digital platforms through the technical item, and in the ninth (conditions for decent work for youth on digital platforms), which discusses the challenges and opportunities related to decent work for youth on digital platforms, as it will include a review of the economic impact.” To work across digital platforms on youth and their employment impacts, and proposes measures to ensure the protection of workers’ rights and improve working conditions in this growing sector.”[/rtl]
