Iraq chaired the work of the (98) session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization

Yesterday, Sunday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi chaired the work of the 98th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization in Cairo.
A statement by the ministry said, "The Minister of Labor welcomed, during the opening ceremony, the organizers and participants in the session, representatives of Arab countries, headed by the Director General of the organization, Fayez Ali Al-Mutairi."
Al-Asadi drew attention to "the need to discuss the conditions of workers in the region," noting that "the session's work includes a discussion of a number of items, including a report on the conditions of the workers of the people of Palestine, financial and administrative issues, a discussion of the draft Arab strategy for training and technical and vocational education, and a discussion of the achievements of the Labor Organization." Al-Asadi added, "The work also includes a review of the report of the results of the work of the 43rd session of the Committee of Legal Experts on capacity development, the report of the results of the work of the 21st session of the Arab Women's Labor Affairs Committee, and the report of the results of the work of the 42nd session of the Committee on Trade Union Freedoms." Pointing out that "Baghdad hosted the work of the (97th) session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization during the period from October 16-17, 2022."
