, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa’, yesterday, Sunday, officially announced the launch of the “Khotwa” initiative, which is being held in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia. The initiative comes as a continuation of previous initiatives that accommodate thousands of ambitious young people who aspire to the market. Work is fortified with education, knowledge and integrated training so that the young man is fully prepared to exercise his leadership role at work.
The Director General of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hossam Hassan, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “This initiative was launched at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Youth Advisor, Dr. Qasim.” Al-Zalmi and a number of officials.”
He stated, “The (Step) initiative comes as a continuation of many initiatives established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Supreme Council for Youth, the first of which was the Riyada initiative launched by the President of the Khalaf, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and this new initiative aims for development and employment and is concerned with groups of students and youth to empower them and highlight their energies.” Creativity and creating decent job opportunities for them.”
He added, “The Ministry of Youth and Sports held many workshops, conferences, and initiatives to contain young people and integrate them into the labor market, and there are also other activities, including the model youth camp that can accommodate 500 young people, which was approved by the Supreme Council for Youth in the fourth session,” noting that “this camp was established in Baghdad in a stadium.” The crowns will be dedicated to youth creativity and activities, and there are also many initiatives that the Ministry is activating in order to develop youth and benefit from their experiences. There are also many scientific, cultural, social and sports initiatives through which the Ministry seeks to support the youth category.”
