    The Minister of Trade, Mr. Athir Dawood Salman, met with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ms. Nkozi Okonjo-Iweala, to discuss the file of Iraq's accession to the organization and accelerate the completion of the required files after 16 years since the last negotiating meeting.
    Minister Al-Ghariri pointed out the importance of continuing to maintain the necessary momentum to complete all requirements during the coming period, praising the efforts made by all concerned parties to achieve this goal.
    For her part, Ms. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala praised Iraq's efforts, noting that Iraq has a strong economy characterized by the presence of a trained and young human force, in addition to its abundant natural resources. She stressed the need to provide support and all the technical assistance Iraq needs to complete its journey, as Iraq is one of the important economies that will be an added value to the organization, and its accession will have a major impact on the global economy.[/size]
