The President of the Republic stresses the importance of facilitating procedures for pilgrims

Yesterday, Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to facilitate procedures for Iraqi pilgrims, while the President of the Republic stressed the need to include in school curricula subjects that respect peaceful coexistence.
A presidential statement stated, “The President of the Republic received the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, and stressed during the meeting the necessity of consolidating relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing Iraq’s keenness to expand the horizons of constructive cooperation in service of common higher interests.”
For his part, the Saudi ambassador expressed his country's "keenness to create appropriate conditions for Iraqi pilgrims, including housing and services, in cooperation with the Hajj and Umrah Authority in Iraq."
Meanwhile, the President of the Republic discussed, with Representative Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the selection of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Another statement stated, “The President of the Republic received Al-Mashhadani, and during the meeting they discussed the importance of solidarity and cooperation between political forces in order to enhance security and stability in the country, support the government’s efforts in implementing its program, improve living conditions, and support service and investment projects.”
He added, "The selection of a new speaker for the House of Representatives was discussed, and this file was resolved through understandings between the political parties and the best interest of the country in a way that contributes to the House of Representatives continuing its legislative and oversight work."
In addition, the President of the Republic stressed the need to include in school curricula materials that respect peaceful coexistence, noting the importance of cooperation and communication with international organizations concerned with rights and freedoms in order to spread the culture of human rights.
The statement explained, “The President of the Republic received the Coordinator of International Recommendations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dindar Zebari, and his accompanying delegation, and during the meeting they discussed the relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the necessity of working to consolidate joint relations, and working to continue constructive and effective dialogue to resolve outstanding issues.” In accordance with the Constitution and the law and in a manner that guarantees the rights of all citizens.”
The President of the Republic pointed out, according to the statement, “the importance of cooperation and communication with international organizations concerned with rights and freedoms in order to spread the culture of human rights in a way that achieves social justice,” stressing “the necessity of coordination between the Ministries of Education and Culture, Tourism and Antiquities to include in school curricula materials on respect for peaceful coexistence among all "Ingredients to create a generation that believes in coexistence and respect for others."
