BlackRock's Acher's Bitcoin Trust has become the world's largest cryptocurrency fund, having collected assets totaling about $20 billion since its listing in the United States at the beginning of this year, according to what Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.
The report stated, citing data compiled by Bloomberg, that the size of the assets of the exchange-traded fund reached $19.68 billion yesterday, Tuesday, exceeding the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, which has assets of about $19.65 billion.
The Securities and Exchange Commission, led by crypto-skeptic Gary Gensler, rejected Bitcoin-focused ETFs for more than a decade over market manipulation concerns, before approving them in January after Grayscale Investments won a court ruling last year.
