    [rtl]The Future Iraq Foundation for Economic Studies and Consultations said today, Saturday, that the value of Indian exports to Iraq in the period from April 2023 to March 2024 increased by 24% compared to the same period last year.[/rtl]
    [rtl]According to data from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the value of direct Indian exports to Iraq amounted to 3.4 billion US dollars, up from 2.7 billion dollars for the same period last year.[/rtl]
    [rtl]According to a report issued by the corporation today, India's rice exports rose by 131% to reach a value of approximately $910 million, up from the same period last year, which was worth $392 million.[/rtl]
    [rtl]As for fossil fuels, they decreased by 9.15% to reach $799 million, after being worth $879 million.[/rtl]
    [rtl]As for Indian meat exports, they increased by 41.5% to reach 329 million US dollars after being worth 232 million US dollars for the same period last year.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Iron exports also increased by 153%, tea exports by 141%, fruit exports by 114%, clothing exports by 106%, and vegetable oil exports by 103%.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The commodities that decreased were sugar, whose exports from India to Iraq decreased by 85%.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The report indicates that India is Iraq's fifth exporter of goods after the UAE, China, Turkey and Iran. India's exports are considered direct to Iraq, and may rise if the value of goods re-exported from the UAE is added, a large percentage of which are Indian products.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The report stated that, on the other hand, the value of Iraq's exports to India, mainly represented by crude oil, decreased from 34 billion US dollars, compared to 30 billion US dollars in the period from April 2023 to March 2024.[/rtl]
    [rtl]India is the second largest importer of Iraqi oil after China, which represents approximately 30% of Iraqi oil purchases.[/rtl]
