The representative of Basra Governorate, Asaad Al-Bazouni, confirmed on Tuesday that Iraq will not reap any economic benefit from extending an oil pipeline from Basra - Aqaba, considering it an economic gain for Jordan.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Bazuni said in an interview, “Extending an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba needs extensive review and study by specialists.”[/size]
[size=45]He added, “The project may cost the state budget a lot of money and benefit the Jordanian economy, noting that there are fears of selling oil at a discount to the Jordanian side.”[/size]
