Member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Yasser Iskandar, revealed today, Wednesday, an agreement to schedule laws related to security institutions after the end of the legislative recess.
Iskandar said in an interview, “The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee agreed on a comprehensive schedule for all laws that relate to security institutions and seek to accelerate the pace of their resolution and be open to the ideas presented whose wording can be modified or draft laws that will be submitted by the committee to the government or parliament according to the available paths.” “.
He added, “The intelligence, traffic, and civil defense law, up to the Ministry of Defense, will be among the priorities of the Parliamentary Security Committee after the end of the legislative term and the return of the House of Representatives sessions,” stressing that there are laws that have become a complete network, awaiting the first and second reading to reach the vote.
He pointed out that “completing the laws for institutions that have contact with the security establishment is important in order to complete the cover of the laws, define their powers, and ensure procedures that do not violate any laws.”
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives approved a few weeks ago the National Security Apparatus law and defined its powers and responsibilities in accordance with the general security scope.[/size]
