Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Aref Al-Hamami, stressed that the laws suspended in Parliament require political consensus.
Al-Hamami said, “The important laws are the laws that come from the government, while the blocked laws within the House of Representatives need political consensus, the most prominent of which are the oil and gas laws and the general amnesty.”
He added, "All the laws whose legislative procedures have been completed are still being completed and work is underway to resolve them."
The first legislative term of the second legislative year ended on June 10, after the term was extended from May 10 last year.
