Al-Asadi stressed, while chairing a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Supporting Small Income-Generating Projects, “the necessity of supporting projects that employ the largest number of young people by finding a specific formula for raising the amount of lending,” pointing to “the goal of raising the amount of lending to citizens to encourage them to submit projects.” Real and productive, and the Ministry is ready to enroll them in training courses that qualify them to establish income-generating projects.”
Regarding the Council of Ministers’ decision to close the camps for the displaced, Al-Asadi directed, according to the ministry’s statement, a copy of which was received by {Al-Furat News}, “to form a committee or work team to go to the camps for the displaced to encourage them to return by granting them loans to create projects that qualify them to engage in the labor market and integrate them into society.” In addition to addressing the issue of withholding the sponsor’s salary regarding borrowers who are late in repayment through withholding or deduction from the salary, provided that the deduction does not exceed half of the salary.”
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including how to support agricultural engineers and facilitate the procedures and controls for obtaining loans in accordance with the law, and preparing a letter to be submitted to the Council of Ministers regarding agricultural areas that have been transformed into residential areas and how to support small projects in those areas.
