Economic expert, Nabil Jabbar Al-Ali, revealed on Monday the total financial value of establishing the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline project.
Al-Ali said, "The Basra pipeline project, which links the Rumaila fields to the Jordanian port of Aqaba, will cost the Iraqi state treasury more than $28 billion, according to what was announced."
He added, "The project is 1,665 kilometers long, and includes one or two pipelines and pumping stations."
Al-Ali pointed out that "the real cost of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline project does not exceed $4 billion only." End / 25Q[/size]
