Independent politician Abbas Al-Maliki confirmed on Tuesday that America is exerting pressure on various Iraqi governments with the aim of serving Washington's allies, noting that there are a number of files that the American administration is exploiting to pressure Iraq.
Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma, "The federal government finds itself in a soft spot, especially since the Americans always threaten the Iraqi governments of all kinds by embarrassing them with a series of measures, including demonstrations, energy and electricity files, and the financial war waged by Washington."
He added, "The American administration is using pressure files against the Iraqi governments, including the files of services, security, economy and electricity, and making the governments submit to American demands."
He explained that "America wants Iraq to share its wealth with regional countries linked to the American side, so that according to that it is guaranteed that those countries will obtain Iraq's capabilities, including the file of exporting electricity to Jordan and Egypt, even though Baghdad will not achieve any desired benefit from such a project."
