    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]The spokesman for the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Nabil Al-Saffar, said that the real estate markets are currently witnessing a kind of recession, and this came as a result of the plan set by the government to alleviate the suffering of the housing crisis.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Saffar stated, "Although the citizen still feels that these prices are high, and indeed there are still some real estate prices that have reached imaginary amounts that the average citizen cannot afford to buy a residential unit."[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "We hope that during the next two or three years, if residential city projects are launched and a number of these units are completed, this will lead to an increase in supply, and consequently prices will gradually decrease. With the continued construction of cities, these prices will decrease significantly."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The strategy that the government has set to address this crisis according to well-studied plans came in accordance with the population needs that the country suffers from. Therefore, the only solution to this problem was the issue of residential cities that are outside the main city centers."[/rtl]
