Hussein Al-Karaawi, head of the organizing body of the popular movement for the Belt and Road, confirmed on Wednesday that America sought to distance Iraq from the Silk Road project with the aim of dragging it towards the new Levant project.
Al-Karawi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Silk Road project represents a fateful project that serves Iraq and the countries through which this road passes and achieves great profits for the participating countries, but America prevented Iraq from entering this project."
He added, "America is taking Iraq towards the new Levant project, which is against the Belt and Road Initiative, and serves the interests of the United States and the Zionist entity, and makes that entity a global center for international trade and links Europe with the axis countries, so that Iraq will be the financier of this project, Jordan will be the corridor, and Egypt and the Zionist entity will have the port of (Briancourt), which will be the center of the new Levant project."
He explained that "the new project aims to undermine the Belt and Road Initiative, which aims to make Iraq a productive country and bring in $500 billion annually, but the American will seeks to keep Iraq away from the Silk Road project." End 25N
