    Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Mohammed Jassim Al-Khafaji, explained that the Information Crimes Law may be one of the laws that will be discussed during this chapter by the relevant committees, such as the Culture and [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/101650141/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%B9%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Media Committee[/url], the Legal Committee, Human Rights Committee, and the Security and Defense Committee, noting that it has been subject to discussions in numerous workshops with the participation of more than one committee, which may lead to its re-introduction to the political arena.



    He added that the law will not be passed in the form received from the government, as many amendments will be made to it, as it was rejected by many parties, noting that with the start of the new legislative session, expectations are increasing regarding its re-introduction with the introduction of fundamental amendments to it in an attempt to achieve a balance between protecting digital security and preserving citizens' rights. Al-Khafaji added that many workshops have been held to discuss it, expecting it to be raised again within the halls of parliament.
