    Information / Baghdad
Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Mudhar Al-Karawi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the salaries of employees of state institutions are secured during the current year.
Al-Karwi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The salaries of employees of Iraqi state institutions in all their titles are secured during the year 2024 and there are no concerns."
He added, "Any delay in distributing it does not mean that there is a liquidity crisis, but rather the matter is related to purely organizational and administrative procedures."
He added, "The release of the dues of ministries and governorates from the 2024 budget has actually begun, noting that dozens of projects will be launched soon according to the approved plans in order to begin implementing them."
He pointed out that "relying on selling crude oil as a main source for the Iraqi treasury still represents a major challenge, but in return there are efforts to increase non-oil revenues, but the matter faces multiple challenges."
It is noteworthy that Iraq depends 90% on the sale of crude oil to finance treasury revenues, through which salaries of government employees and other expenditures are paid. End 25 F
