    Economy News - Baghdad
The Parliamentary Finance Committee announced today, Wednesday, the formation of a team to audit the salaries of Kurdistan employees, while counting the number of employees in the region.
Committee member, Moeen Al-Kazemi, said in a televised interview followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "a government team was formed by the Federal Financial Supervision Department to audit the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees in the field," indicating that "the team has been present in the region for a week in cooperation with the Financial Supervision Department of Kurdistan."
He added, "If there are large numbers of special grades starting from Director General, Deputy Minister, or Minister, they will be reconsidered," adding, "It is not reasonable for there to be large numbers of special grades in the region that includes only three governorates, even with the claim that the region was formed in 1991 and not in 2003."
The parliamentary finance member explained, "The committee will follow up on this issue with the government committee assigned to find out how the salaries of 670,000 military and civilian employees will be paid, in coordination with the federal government."
